16 hours down and I've made it. The breaks squeal as the plane touches down at malpensa, Milan airport. I'm back in Milano! So exciting. The memories I've had here...they have been some of my all time favorites- and here I am again. Making more memories. So blessed. It's been a good journey from Los Angeles to Milano, pretty peaceful. Lots of food. Slept a decent amount. No delays, no bad turbulence. Just a nice uneventful flight - I've just been counting down the minutes to touch down in Milan, and here I am.
I make my way from the plane to baggage claim and immigration. Lots of walking today but that's good especially for all the sitting I've done! Haha at least that's what I'm telling myself.
I arrive at the area where my driver is supposed to be waiting. But there is no driver. Maybe because the plane was late...I dont know. I walk around the airport avoiding the guys telling me about their taxi services...My phones both do not have service. So I go to a change kiosk and get change to use a public pay phone. I call the driver- he informs me that there is no service today- the office is closed or something like this in Italian. So I buy a map. And take a train to Cadorna. From there I will taxi. Ahh the adventure starts. Welcome to Italy Kiera <3 tutto bene (ps do not put your feet on the seats on the train...I was yelled at for this)
In the taxi now- heading to the apartment. I just love the streets of Milano!
What an adventure I'm having. Arrive at the apartment but have no way of getting inside. And neither of my phones are working yet. I walked to a bar across the street and tried topping off my uk cell but it gets no service here. No one there speaks English and my Italian is so horrible at this point- it's been years since I practiced it. Finally a employee let me use their cellphone where I called the owner of the apartment and he told me to wait 10 minutes he will be here. So I'm outside of the apartment now. Waiting. It's a little chilly, I hope he is here soon. I can only think of a hot bath and a good night sleep! It's been a long 24 hours!
He arrived, whew! I finally unpack a bit and shower and hit my bed hard. I sleep on and off for a few hours- it's hard to sleep with jetlag but also all the excitement of being back. Not to mention how loud the streets are here. I've gotten so used to living in a peaceful apartment by the beach, that I almost forgot how city living is. Almost. But I remember. And I kinda love it, at least for now. Goodnight world, cant wait for tomorrow!

8am I wake up - make some phone calls to my loved ones let them know I'm safe and than start my day. First thing, a moisturizing face mask. So important after that many hours flying. I did this while I was doing my morning meditations. Also I am staying in a models apartment, so I had to cut my meditation short because I didnt want to hog up all the bathroom time, and thats the only private place I have in this lil apartment! I shower and get ready. Very excited to meet my new agency and see what today brings. I get on the metro and than walk 10/15 minutes and arrive at my agency. Just being on the streets here feels magical. Ciao milano <3 mi piach qui!

My new bookers are absolutely lovely, very helpful. We had a great first meeting, they put together my portfolio which I will be using here- helped me get an Italian phone so there are no issues being contacted and I'm on my way. I grab a bite to eat and head home. My first casting is for Giorgio Armani :) let's do this K!
Put on my favorite Burberry boots, and layered up and head on over to my castings.

They castings went really great. Let me see you walk - walk - take polaroids. Got to meet Mr. Giorgio Armani himself <3 that was very special to me! Now we just wait to hear - onto the next castings tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I am just so happy being here - its a great feeling when you are doing what you absolutely love and have that passion on Fiya!
I get home after my castings and relax a little bit. Still feeling really jetlagged. But I have the evening free and this is probably the most free time I will have in the next two weeks! So I am going to enjoy it! I hope you enjoy my blog post <3 I will try and update everyday, have so much fun to share with you all! Lots of love.
